Volunteers Needed !
It is hard to believe after looking out the window at the snow yesterday, but the
Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games is less
than 2 weeks away. It will be held at the Dakota County
Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17 from 9:00 to 5:30. St. Andrew's Society will have a tent in the
Clan and Organizations Row area, and we invite all members to stop by and say hello while at the
Fair. To make sure we can operate the tent, we need volunteers who can take an hour or 2 of their time
to meet and greet Fair visitors.
Judith Palmateer has volunteered to get us started by taking a shift from 9 to 11 in the morning. We would like to have volunteers taking at least a one hour shift starting every half hour. The first one available would be at 10:30 a.m. to have a little bit of overlap with Judith. That means we have only 7 hourly shifts to cover. Please consider volunteering for one or two of them if you can. It would be a great help to the organization and a neat opportunity to meet so many of the Fair visitors. Thank you in advance for your help.
Please contact Don Bruce at 651-439-0495 or bruce1051@comcast.net to volunteer. We know many of you are already working at Clan tents or other organizations, activities or vendors, but anything you can do would be most helpful, and if you don't have any other obligations that day, your time would be most appreciated.
Again, thank you to those who are willing to help us promote the St. Andrew's Society by donating a small amount of time.
